Jadavpur University Department of English Bachelor of Arts admission 2010 registration will be entirely online.
Lots of people have been downloading the old paper form for the BA admission from this site. That form is now obsolete so it has been removed. There will be no paper form for 2010 BA Admissions. You will not have to queue anywhere.
Please check http://www.jadavpur.edu/ regularly for the online registration page, which should be up and running by 5 June 2010.
Registration will be open till 15 June 2010. Lists of eligible candidates will be uploaded 18 June 2010. The entrance exam will be on 23 June 2010 from 12 to 2.30. You need to be at the University by 10am on the day.
DO NOT BRING ANY DOCUMENTS ON THE DAY OF THE TEST.
All you need is your face, your brain and a pen. Preferably two pens. And if you like, a bottle of water.
NO PARENTS ALLOWED INSIDE ANY EXAMINATION VENUE.
This means all non examinees and guardian types, including elder siblings. Any such people found inside the venue will have to sit the test, and their ward will be admitted on the basis of the square root of their score.
NO MOBILE PHONES. ALL PHONES WILL BE CONFISCATED. WE MEAN THIS.
If you are found using a phone for anything during the examination you will be disqualified. This includes playing Prince of Persia. You will get a receipt for your phone and can take it back after the test (unless you forget in the jouissance of finishing), but we will not be held responsible for loss or damage.
Our experience suggests this is an essential security measure. Any cheap phone can now access the internet, with predictable results. We have stumbled upon very interesting errors in Wikipedia as a result of this little dodge.
Don’t believe everything you read on the net. It is controlled by aliens from Alpha Centauri. Trust me on this.
